SR 24 Morrier Ln Intersection Project

The Phase I of Morrier Lane / SR-24 Intersection Improvements Project consists of constructing a new intersection at SR24 and Morrier Lane including widening approximately 1200 linear feet of SR-24 to a three-lane facility with left turn pockets and right turn tapers.  In addition to the new intersection, new arterials were constructed including extending Duffield Road approximately 2700 liner feet to the west and construction Morrier Lane from a new roundabout approximately 1600 linear feet south to SR 24.

Phase II will construct a new arterial from the roundabout north to a new intersection at Mieras Road and Morrier Lane.

Phase III will construct a new arterial from SR-24 intersection south to Postma Road.

This project will enhance the City of Moxee transportation network in providing roadway connectivity.  The project also provides future economic development by providing access to over 300 acres of industrial and commercially zoned property.  Funding is secured and construction on Phase II will begin in 2021.

The project improvements included grinding the road adjacent to the existing curbs, overlaying the existing roads with 2 inches of new asphalt.  The project was done on time and on budget and turned out really well. Thank you to all affected residents for your patience and understanding during the project. The project was largely funded by the Transportation Improvement Boards Small Cities Pavement Preservation Program.
